How we look after your information
The short version: we collect as little as we can, we use it only to tell you about our launch, and we never sell it.
Who we are
Featherbind is a trading name of Studio C’est Bon. In this notice, “we” and “us” mean Studio C’est Bon. Featherbind makes personalised picture books. We aren’t taking orders yet. This notice explains what happens to personal information collected through featherbind.com while we prepare to launch, including the launch waitlist.

What we collect when you join the waitlist
- Your email address (required), so we can tell you when we launch.
- Your first name (optional), so our emails can greet you properly.
- Your child’s age range (optional): only a range such as 3–5, never a name or a birthday.
- Your country (optional), so we can plan where to launch.
- Your consent: the date and time you ticked the box to hear from us, and the version of this notice you were shown.
We don’t ask for your child’s name or for any photos at this stage.
What we don’t collect
This site doesn’t use analytics, advertising trackers or any third-party scripts, the site itself sets no cookies, and we don’t store your IP address. To stop people abusing the waitlist form, our server keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your connection’s address in memory for about ten minutes. It is never written to disk or linked to your details.
Like every website, requests to featherbind.com pass through the hosting and network providers that deliver and protect the site. They process technical information such as IP addresses to do that, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from automated abuse.
How we use your information
- To email you about the launch of Featherbind. We aren’t sending any emails yet; the first one you get from us will be about the launch.
- To understand, in total rather than person by person, the age ranges and countries our waitlist comes from.
We never sell your information and we don’t share it with advertisers.
Photos of your child, when we launch
We are not collecting any photos yet. When we launch, you’ll be able to share photos of your child so we can draw them as the hero of their book. Here is our promise about those photos, in plain words:
- We’ll use them only to create your child’s illustrated character for your book.
- We won’t publish them, use them in our marketing, or sell them.
- We’ll share them only with the service providers who help us create the illustrations, and only for that purpose.
- You’ll be able to ask us to delete them.
Before we ask you for any photos, we’ll update this notice to explain exactly how they are stored, who processes them and when they are deleted.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details for as long as the waitlist is running. If you ask us to remove them, we’ll delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the details we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, at any time. Every launch email will also include a simple way to unsubscribe.

Children
The waitlist is for parents, carers and other adults. Please don’t join it if you are under 18. The only information about a child we ask for is an optional age range.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we’ll update the date and version at the top of this page. We won’t use your details in a new way without asking for your consent again.
